About the Wine
For more than 40 years, JUSTIN has been known for producing iconic Bordeaux-style wines. Not to be typecast, we conceived FOCUS, a limited-production wine that expresses the now world-famous potential of Paso Robles to produce the highest-quality new-world Syrah. For the 2022 FOCUS, we selected the best of the best syrah fruit and released only a few hundred cases of this remarkable wine, showcasing our ability to craft exceptional wines in a variety of styles.

Tasting Notes
Body
Appearance
Deep in color with a purple core and ruby highlights toward the rim, displaying moderately staining, slow-forming tears on the glass.
Aroma
Complex aromatics of moderate-plus intensity shows notes of blackberry compote, ripe blueberry, mocha, warm vanilla, and baking spices. With time, the wine develops notes of wild lilac, sage, anise, cured meats, and plum sauce.
Palate
Dry with medium-plus body and a balanced structure on the palate. Ripe red plum and black cherry on entry are followed by dried herbs, smoked meats, leather, and toasty spice. The smooth tannin profile and booming fruit flavors carry the wine to a lengthy, peppery finish.
