About the Wine
The 2020 FOCUS expresses the now world-famous potential of Paso Robles to produce the highest quality New World Syrah. For this vintage, we selected the best of the best syrah fruit of the vintage and released only a few hundred cases of this remarkable wine that showcases our ability to craft exceptional wines in a variety of styles.

Appearance
Bright with a dark purple/ruby core showing black secondary color getting lighter toward the rim, with a violet hue and lightly stained tears showing on the glass.
Aroma
Aromatic and complex with red mulberry, ripe blackberry, baking spice, new leather, sage, rose petal, and oak.
Palate
Medium to full-bodied with full, ripe fruit character on entry, including blackberry, elderberry, and red plum. The midpalate features floral notes of fresh rose petal and violet, joined by savory elements of wild sage, leather, and toasted spice. A moderately long finish follows with ripe fruit with oak and spice, framed by moderate, fine tannins. The wine benefits from decanting now but will gain complexity with more savory elements appearing in the coming years.
